Feeling better again...

Feeling better again after being One Hot Mess for over a week. Increased my meds and I am coming back to my usual unusualness. Phew! I think flying for four hours and an hour in a cab ride of windy Rhodes set my delicate vestibular system into a tail spin. Phew!

I do stay home a lot...

I do stay home a lot. I don’t drive very much unless it’s very close. I do use were to get around and occasionally friends will think to pick me up. It does make me feel trapped and that I am on an island. I’ve been talking to my husband about moving to Evanston where Northwestern University is because it’s like a college town and offers more options that I can walk to. I am not wild about leaving my neighborhood, but it will give me more freedom and make me more independent. So this spring I am going to start looking in the Evanston area probably a condo now that my kids are grown. I used to wonder why it was so important to my father in his 90s that he be independent and didn’t want me to take care of I get it.

If you are dealing with an eye issue...

If you are dealing with an eye issue rule number one is to be patient and to try many different options. Be sure you see a neural ophthalmologist because it’s more than just getting eye glasses it involves the brain. I have tried scleral lens I have tried different lenses and different things will work for you then the did for me. So, you have to keep trying to find the right mix for you. As I mentioned before my bad I would not take to all lands that covered up the retina that it was just darkened and my brain did not adapt to it. So all I can do is patch that I. You can patch with soft tape you can use up patch that’s like a Band-Aid that you can get from the drugstore I am going to have a patch make that a soft because it gets tiresome to where. If you have any questions about I patch is or anything related to the I I am always willing to try to help. One more thought you can also just use electricians tape to black out one side of your eyeglasses if that works for you or have someone so you

My Vestibular System is not right.

Since I had my surgery six years ago....

Since I had the surgery six years ago my double vision got worse. I catch my eye with tape or a Pirates patch I have tried a contact lens and I have found that the best solution is to keep the bad I closed all the time. In time they might have more solutions but for me I have to keep my bed I closed otherwise I have double vision and I can’t see well at all. The I can see but I can’t function because of the double vision.

I also had to have surgery were they put a plate in my eyes glued to try to make my dad I close all the way but it did not work. It is worth trying, but it did not work for me. So I am constantly putting eyedrops in that I because it does not make tears. So I am always putting drops in to keep the IRA mores. My other I I use it daily use contacts because I have to use use it so I can see better. It’s only a 1+ but I needed it so I could see better. For some reason I cannot wear a distance glasses because it does not agree with my nervous system. I’ve tried several times and I always end up getting sick getting a headache and getting dizzy and my balance gets off again. They would like me to wear of glass to cover my one good eye but I can’t so I use a contact in my right eye daily. I know things will keep changing so that’s where Matt for now.
